Melton Mowbray events firm sold to global operator
A Melton Mowbray events production company has been sold to PSAV, a global events firm which has an office in Nottingham.
Founded more than 30 years ago by its chief executive, Martin Hawthorn, Hawthorn offers a comprehensive suite of services, including creative design, production, lighting, audio, video, staging, power distribution and rigging services in the UK.
“Martin and his team have built a remarkable business, and I’m excited to welcome them all into the PSAV family,” said Mike McIlwain, president and chief executive for PSAV.
He added: “I look forward to the opportunity to introduce their customers to the global reach of PSAV.”
Hawthorn will continue to operate under its own brand name. Martin Hawthorn and his senior team will remain in place .

Sabial Hanif and Michael Skerritt of Cooper Parry Corporate Finance were lead advisers to the shareholders of Hawthorn with Eversheds acting as legal advisers.
