On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Barclays has appointed two new senior relationship managers to join its Leicestershire Business Banking team.
Amar Karia, who has worked in the financial sector for eight years has joined the team and will be looking after around 100 clients in the Leicestershire area.
He is joined by Rose Barnard who joined Barclays in 2008 on a graduate scheme after graduating from the University of Leicester. She has undertaken a variety of roles in the branch network before joining the Leicestershire Corporate team in 2012 working with local Leicestershire businesses in different sectors for the last five years.
Area business manager, Amit Sonpal said: “I am delighted to welcome Amar and Rose to the team. They bring a wealth of experience and will enable us to continue to provide a good service to our clients in the Leicestershire area. My objective is to grow Barclays competitive position by winning new business in an area of undoubted increased commercial opportunity.”
Flexible packaging manufacturers, Mercury Packaging and CPS Flexible, have appointed Carl Woolrich as group engineering manager across both the firms’ Leicester and Nottinghamshire sites.
Woolrich is the first appointment since the two businesses merged to create a major flexible packaging company with combined turner of some £16m and forecasted growth of 25% over a three-year period.
Simon Rose, group managing director, said: “We are delighted that someone of Carl’s calibre has joined the business. The senior management team is confident that his engineering background and experience of managing large teams will help streamline processes and drive the production departments forward across both plants.”
