On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

East Midlands-based building services consulting engineers Built Environment Consulting (BEC) has announced the promotion of Steve Bird to building information modelling (BIM) manager.
Mechanical building services engineer Bird joined BEC in 2014 and has over 10 years of experience in the industry.
He said: “I am proud to be a part of such a dynamic and well-established firm and to be involved in its rapid expansion.
“My years at BEC have enabled me to expand and enhance my skills and work with an impressive portfolio of clients and projects.

LB Foster Europe has appointed a new head of automation at its operating division LB Foster Automation &
Mark Stratford
Materials Handling in Nottingham.
Mark Stamford joins the business which specialises in innovative automated engineering and materials handling solutions for the food and beverage, automotive and distribution and logistics sectors. Previously, he was head of modernisation & upgrades at Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery in Lincoln.
