Laing O’Rourke warehouse sold for £1.35m

Georgetown Carr, the Barnsley-based company, has expanded its portfolio of commercial property following the acquisition of a £1.35m industrial investment on Drayton Court, Manton Wood Business Park, Worksop, in a deal brokered by Commercial Property Partners (CPP).

The 27,000 sq ft warehouse was acquired off market by Georgetown Carr and is currently let to international engineering company Laing O’Rourke and occupied as part of their Explore Manufacturing division.

Stuart Waite, partner at CPP, said: “We are delighted to have secured this asset off market on behalf of Georgetown Carr. Fundamentally this is a high-quality warehouse facility on an established business park in North Nottinghamshire with excellent major road links.”

“Let to Laing O’Rourke, an undoubted covenant, we believe there are strong prospects for future rental and capital growth given the popularity of the location and chronic shortage of supply.”

Rob Walker, director at Georgetown Carr, said: “The asset fits perfectly into our existing portfolio of commercial investments and we are delighted to have secured this property off market. We are confident the asset provides opportunity to enhance returns in the short to medium term.”
