34 jobs lost as Nottingham electrical firm goes under

A Nottingham electrical firm has ceased trading with the loss of 34 jobs.
According to reports in the Nottingham Post, SJ Marshall Electrical, based in Netherfield, has entered voluntary liquidation, with all staff being made redundant.
The firm was set up in 1983 by Steve Marshall, and, according to its website, had recently completed work for a pub in Rugby, Warwickshire.
Marshall told the Post that the firm had lost some big contracts recently, adding: “We’ve lost some large contracts over the past six months, with a couple of those taken by larger companies.
“There’s been a downturn in work as a result and it’s meant that we’re ceasing to trade, going into voluntary liquidation.”
Nottingham-based business recovery firm Elwell Watchorn Saxton is handling the liquidation of the company.
