Derby fashion brand welcomes new ambassador

Owen Bradley

Derby-based menswear brand MrShaw has announced the addition of a brand ambassador to its team.

East Midlands personality Owen Bradley is the new face of the fledgling fashion brand as it expands its marketing efforts, headed up by its owner Karl Shaw.

Bradley, 30, is highly regarded across the region. After cementing his reputation as a sports journalist for the BBC, and achieving a cult following, he recently joined Derby County’s Rams TV as the station’s new Lead Presenter

“I am delighted to be part of this local brand, who’s ethos matches my own. As a proud local lad, it’s great to support a fashion brand that really has Derby in its roots. Not to mention the clothing is stylish, comfortable and affordable,” he said.

“I’ve picked up some stick over the years for my wooly jumpers, but MrShaw is a brand I’ve been following for some time, so to join Karl and the team is great.”

MrShaw was founded in 2016 by Derby-based designer Karl Shaw, inspired by Paul Smith, John Smedley and other locally-formed fashion brands.

“To have someone of Owen’s calibre and profile is a real coup for a small brand like ourselves. We come from humble beginnings, with the aim to deliver a stylish menswear brand for all ages, young adults, middle-aged or older, designing clothes that can be worn casually by day, or even on a night out.”

Bradley joins former-Derby County footballer turned personal trainer, Shane Nicholson, as another local ambassador for MrShaw.

Karl is also owner of Derby-based design and branding agency Silver Birch Creative.
