Langleys Solicitors, which has offices in Lincoln, has unveiled a new business development team which has been tasked with helping the company break into the UK’s top 100 law firms.

The quartet will enhance Langleys’ CRM, digital marketing, events and PR capabilities and will report into recently-appointed business development director Dave Clarkson.

Chris Pegg has been recruited to develop Langleys’ CRM systems, with a brief to enhance client experience and build new business opportunities.

The team is completed by PR co-ordinator Sarah Derby Need, who joined in 2017 and manages internal communications and PR across the business.

Clarkson said the creation of the new team underpinned Langleys’ ambition to accelerate organic revenue growth and break into the Top 100 legal businesses in the UK.

He said: “These appointments mark the start of an exciting new chapter for Langleys.

“We now have a full team in place with hand-picked individuals who possess the skills to drive Langleys forward.

“We will shortly be unveiling our new brand positioning, which will provide a fantastic platform to promote the quality service, knowledge and experience that our expert teams provide to our clients.”

Paul Simpson

Andrew & Co Solicitors has appointed a new head of corporate & commercial following the departure of Helen Bell.

Bell, who has been at the helm for the last five years, is moving to France to start a new venture. She will be replaced by Paul Simpson who is currently an associate solicitor with the firm.

Bell said: “I have been with Andrew & Co Solicitors for nearly five years and in that time we have developed a strong, credible corporate & commercial team working with clients all over the country. I am sad to leave the team but very excited to pursue my new venture in life, starting a luxury retreats business in France.

“I am confident that Paul will lead the team to even greater success. He has a lot of experience in the corporate field and I know that our clients will benefit from his extensive knowledge.”

Simpson said: “Although I’m very sad to see Helen go, I’m looking forward to taking over the reins and further strengthening Andrew & Co Solicitors’ reputation as one of the most highly regarded corporate practices in the county.

“Since joining the practice six months ago I’ve already had the pleasure of working with many of our existing corporate and commercial clients and introduced some new ones which is something I hope to continue to do in my new role.”
