New development director at East Mids housing group

East Midlands social housing and care provider emh group has appointed Chris Jones as executive director of development.

Jones was previously development director at Orbit Homes for nine years, overseeing the second largest development programme in the social housing sector.

Jones said: “emh group already has one of the largest development programmes in the East Midlands, but I am excited to be getting in on the start of an ambitious growth programme. I have an excellent team around me and several great projects already in the pipeline, so I will be hitting the ground running.”

Chan Kataria, emh group chief executive, said: “I am delighted to welcome Chris Jones as our new Executive Director of Development. His wealth of experience in developing high quality new homes will help us in our ambition to increase our output to 450 new homes a year in the next two years.”
