On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Nottingham-based commercial property specialists NG Chartered Surveyors has expanded its team with the addition of Charlotte Steggles during her placement year.

Steggles, who plays football for Leicester City Ladies, is a second-year student studying BSc (Hons) Real Estate at Nottingham Trent University. She has plans to become a chartered surveyor after graduating.

She said: “I chose NG as they specialise in the markets that appeal to me and they have a great reputation within the Midlands area. With having a relatively small team they offer a personal experience to clients. For me personally this was a major appeal, I did not want to go into a big company where I would feel lost and would not be given opportunities to learn and develop.

“After meeting the team this was something that was made evident to me and it showed that they cared for my development on a personal level and I felt like I was joining part of the team. Other students had recommend NG as a company that creates a learning environment and gives you the opportunity to thrive.

Sunny Landa, director at NG will be mentoring Steggles over the year. He said: “NG has a reputation for nurturing the best talent in the East Midlands, and we want to try and replicate that with Charlotte. We realised immediately that her knowledge and passion for property matched our own, and we’re really looking forward with her over the next 12 months. This is a great opportunity for her to learn “on the tools” – one I’m sure she’ll grasp with both hands.”

Jason Cox

Leicester-based Taylor Bloxham Group has appointed Jason Cox, formerly sales director at Greenshires printing company, to the new role of business development director.

Cox brings over 20 years’ experience in sales and marketing within the print industry to his new role. Having joined Greenshires in 2003 as an account manager, he progressed to divisional director and ultimately sales director.

Cox said: “The company has a great reputation for high quality print as well as other areas such as fulfilment, POS and direct mail. it’s obviously a company that has a long and successful history, but which is continuing to invest and innovate. I’m very much looking forward to playing my part in the company’s growth plans by promoting the group offering of print, direct mail, POS, ecommerce and fulfilment.”
