Plans to create 418 jobs in Beeston revealed

Some 418 jobs could be created in Beeston after plans to build 175,268 sq ft of employment space on Beeston Business Park.

Chancerygate (Newbridge) wants to build the new units on the site in a revised plan to a similiar scheme which was submitted in November last year.

A planning statement with the new application states: “The design and the arrangement of the employment units have been revised in order to take account of market requirements to help ensure that the redevelopment of this underutilised site will provide additional employment space which will be well used.

“The applicant is committed to the implementation of their scheme in order to bring this important site forward for redevelopment and regeneration. This commitment has led to the revised proposals now being brought forward.”

Chancerygate wants to build 20 units, a new gatehouse, car parking and road infrastructure and instal landscaping.

The site lies in between Beeston railway station and Attenborough Nature Reserve.
