M1 closed southbound after collision

The M1 is closed southbound in Northamptonshire between J16 and J15A near Kislingbury due to a multiple vehicle collision and overturned vehicle.

The Emergency Services are working at the scene.

Traffic is being diverted around the incident via:

Exit the M1 southbound at J16 and take the first exit onto the A4500 Weedon road. Continue on the A4500 passing over the Weedon Road/ Banbury Road Roundabout and through the signalised junctions at Upton Valley Way, St Crispin, Upton Mill Lane and Kent Road to the A4500/ A5076 Weedon Road Roundabout. At the roundabout, turn right (south) onto the A5076 Upton Way. Continue along the A5076 Upton Way passing through two roundabouts (Telford Way and Clinkers Road) to the A5076/ A5123 Danes Camp Way Roundabout. At the roundabout take the second exit and continue along the A5123 to M1 J15.
