New 30-bedroom care site takes a step closer

York-based DWA Architects has just started work on a new 30-bedroom care site in Leicester, in the grounds of an existing care facility.

Working on behalf of main contractor Pacy and Wheatley, the Minster Care facility will add to the existing dementia specialist complex, Diamond House, located five miles out of the city centre.

David Ward, managing director of DWA Architects, said: “This project highlights our strong capabilities to produce complex working drawings and deliver quality work for our clients. It will provide a tremendous additional facility, building on the success of the original care home.

Initial enabling works have just started with the construction of the main building starting next month.
