Nottingham developer plans new leisure site

Rushden is to have a new petrol station with two drive-thru units on a commercial site if plans by Nottingham-based residential and commercial developer Godwin Developments are approved.

A planning application has been submitted by Godwin Developments to East Northamptonshire Council for the 1.7 acre roundabout site located on the A6 bypass, close to Rushden town centre.

Godwin bought the site in October 2018.

Matthew Chandler, associate director at Godwin Developments, said: “In conjunction with our consultants, we have submitted a planning application within four months from exchange of contracts. We at Godwin believe this demonstrates our intent, agility and speed within this market.”

Godwin hopes to announce an end user for the site in the Spring.
