Property company CWC Group has appointed Ian Dickinson to the newly-created role of managing director.

Dickinson, who has worked at CWC since 2007, most recently as finance director, has a wealth of experience in senior management roles. Since 2015 he has taken on a broader leadership role within the business during a period of significant growth and development.

The Derbyshire-based group recorded a turnover of £104.9m and an operating profit of £32.4m for the financial year 2017-18. This was up from a turnover of £93.2m and profit of £30.4m in the 2016-17 financial year.

Overall, turnover and profitability at the company, one of the UK’s largest privately owned property groups, has more than doubled over the past five years.

Dickinson said: “I am very proud to become the new managing director of the business at this very exciting time in its history. As the CWC Group gears up for an exciting future with an extensive pipeline of work covering the next 10-15 years, my focus is on realising value from our existing and new developments while working together with my fellow directors to move the company forwards.

“We have already reported record turnover and profitability in the last financial year and while it is always better to look at long term trends, which are highly favourable for the group and its future development pipeline, we will continue to invest wisely. Our priority remains investing where we feel our intervention can make a real difference.”

The company recently moved to new offices at Ednaston following a multi-million pound investment. CWC occupies 5,500 sq ft of space in the refurbished Ednaston Park building while the remaining 12,500 sq ft has been turned into class-leading serviced office space.
