Developer secures planning permission for 207,000 sq ft warehouse

Developer Clowes is set to build another speculative warehouse at its Castlewood Business Park scheme.

CWC207 will be a 207,000 sq ft building, which will be able to be built within 34 weeks, says the developer, and will be available to buy or rent.

Tim Gilbertson of agent FHP said: “It is great for us to be able to push forward again on Castlewood to follow on the recent development of a 250,000 sq ft facility for Alloga and the forthcoming completion of our speculative development on site of a 72,000 sq ft unit.

“CW207 will be a welcome addition to the scheme in a market sector with good demand, evidenced by how other developers are frantically trying to find land in the region, whilst we have what we would like to think is the best site in the East Midlands with a fully consented big shed unit which can be constructed within nine months.”
