Plans revealed for huge 730-bed student scheme

How the scheme will look

A major student development is set for Nottingham after plans were revealed for a huge new student development in the city.

Cassidy Group wants to build a scheme that will house 730 students on Deakins Place Road Nottingham near to The University of Nottingham’s Jubilee Campus.

The development will be a mixture of cluster bedrooms and studios, an will offer Students breakout study areas, open plan living space, cinema, gym and a cycle store.

Cassidy says it wants to complete Deakins Place in time for the August 2021 academic year.

Cassidy is already active in Nottingham. It is currently building a 217-bed student scheme in Beeston, while in Nottingham city centre it is on site at the 350-apartment Saffron Court and has recently received planning permission for the nearby 150-unit Chainey Place.
