Hour-long delays on M1 after collision

The M1 is currently closed from J15 to J14 with delays of at least an hour covering several miles of the southbound carriageway.
Highways England says the closure is due to a road traffic collision.
For traffic approaching the closure locally, motorists are advised to expect disruption with extra journey time and may potentially have to re-route their journey.
Diversion route details and guidance is as follows; Hollow Circle route
Exit the M1 southbound at Junction 15. Turn right at the M1 J15 southbound interchange and continue on the M1 J15 overbridge to the northbound M1 J15 Interchange(this is a dumbbell layout), then take the southbound exit onto the A508.
Continue on the A508 through Roade and Grafton Regis to the A508/A5/A422 Old Stratford Roundabout. At the Old Stratford Roundabout take the first exit onto the A5 southeast.
Continue on the A5 to the A5/A509 Portway Interchange. Then take the first exit off the Interchange onto the A509 Portway. Continue on the A509 Portway, passing over North Grafton, North Witan, North Saxon, North Secklow, Belvedere, North Skeldon, North Overgate, Pagoda and Pineham roundabouts to the A509/A4146 Northfield roundabout.
At the roundabout take the first exit and continue northbound along the A509 to the M1 at J14, then rejoin the motorway southbound.
For A45 Traffic wanting to access the M1 southbound at J15. At M1 J15 continue south over the southbound interchange and continue on the M1 J15 overbridge to the northbound M1 J15 Interchange. Then take the southbound exit onto the A508 and continue along the Diversion Route as detailed for M1 Traffic above.
