On the move: the latest East Midlands hires
Derbyshire, Derbyshire Building Control Partnership (DBCP) has appointed Simeon Cornes building control team leader for the company’s Derby office.
Cornes has a strong background in building control, having previously held a senior building control surveyor position at East Staffordshire Borough Council. He began his career as a YTS technician in building control within Local Authority moving up the ranks to his current position, including time within Derby City as a building control surveyor.
He joins DBCP’s 15-strong of building surveyors covering Derbyshire.
Cornes: “I am passionate about ensuring that buildings are safe and fit for use and it’s a job that can’t be done in isolation as you need the resources and skills of a wider team. It was the support network behind DBCP that attracted me to both the role and organisation.”
Andy Clowes
Lincoln-based digital marketing agency, Distract has added to its PR team with the addition of Andy Clowes as a digital PR executive.
Clowes graduated from Leeds Beckett University last year with a degree in Public Relations with Journalism.
Managing director at Distract, Peter Watson, said: “2019 continues to be a big year for Distract. Andy is going to make a big impact within the PR team and we’re looking forward to seeing what new ideas we can create with him on board.”
