Overturned tractor blocks A46

The A46 in Leicestershire is closed southbound between the A6 (near Leicester) and the A563 (near Anstey) due to a collision involving an overturned tractor and trailer which has come to rest on the verge.

Highways England has traffic officers on scene who are working alongside recovery to clear vehicle.

A statement from Highways England said: “Diverted traffic should exit the A46 at the Wanlip Junction and take the first exit at the roundabout onto the A6 into Leicester. At the A563 (Leicester Ring Road) roundabout, take the A563 westbound and continue straight over the next three roundabouts on the route. At the roundabout with the A5630, head north-west on the A5630 and then re-join the A46 at the Anstey Junction.”
