Growing accountancy firm adds ten new recruits

East Midlands-based accountancy and business advisory firm Smith Cooper has welcomed ten new recruits across its four main offices, with the good news coming after the company reported a turnover increase of 25 per cent to around £19 million over the past year.

The new starters join from a variety of backgrounds, with some having joined from school, others having joined following graduation, and some joining from similar roles at other professional service firms.

They will work in the firm’s accounts, audit, corporate finance, business recovery and insolvency and HR teams, and one will join group company Infuse Technology.

James Bagley, managing partner at Smith Cooper, said: “We’re really excited to welcome our new recruits onboard. We often look for talented, ambitious and driven individuals who can add value to our teams and help strengthen and diversify the services that we offer.

“To ensure we continue to provide highly bespoke, comprehensive services to our clients, each one of the team members receive regular training and undergo formal qualifications to ensure they have the foundations to become experts in their field.

“As a multifaceted accountancy and advisory business, our staff frequently work alongside colleagues in other areas, broadening their own industry knowledge, helping them become well rounded professionals. I really look forward to seeing our new starters progress and develop within their fields.”
