On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Nicole Houseman

Nottingham-based web design agency Strafe Creative has appointed a new project executive.

The appointment of Nicole Houseman takes the growing firm’s team up to 13 members of staff.

Strafe Creative was established in January 2010 and boasts clients such as BP and Go Dine.

Houseman joins company from multi-channel retailer Missguided, where she was a web administrator.

She said: “It is fantastic to have joined the Strafe Creative team. In previous roles at Missguided and Naylors I’ve had responsibility for bridging the gap between the e-commerce and marketing teams and I’ve been able to dramatically improve overall communications. I’m hoping to be able to do the same at Strafe, so we are all working together create even more brilliant websites and campaigns.”

Elsewhere, The Silver X Group has appointed Andy Deighton as its new group operations director.

Deighton initially joined the Derbyshire-based warehousing and logistics business in August 2019 in a project management role.

Managing director Gavin Burgess said: “Andy has vast experience in the logistics sector covering warehousing, road haulage, parcels, pallets and home delivery, so he’s a great addition to our already talented team.”

Burgess says he appointed a sector-experienced operations director to ensure the firm’s “ambitious growth targets” are achieved and to add an additional skill set to its board of directors.

“CPW has a great balance of working independently yet still feeling very supported in your role. The culture here is very cooperative and I couldn’t think of a better place to complete my qualification.”
