On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Clumber Consultancy, the specialist pensions and ERA service provider for the UK insolvency market, has appointed a new information assurance officer.
Data security expert Jo Austin joins the Mansfield-based company permanently after working in a consultancy role for the last two years.
Managing director Darren Toms said: “We first began working with Jo when we made a firm commitment to data integrity and security when the GDPR legislation was probably in its infancy in terms of adoption. We saw this not as a problem but an opportunity to overhaul the way we approached our business. As a result, we set the soundest of foundations in terms of data security and we became the first in our sector to achieve the government’s Cyber Essentials Plus and IASME Audited Gold Awards.
“This goes a step further and specifically includes authenticated vulnerability scans of workstations and mobile devices and increases the validity of the certification by providing evidence of compliance against malicious files entering the company via email/web traffic and resulting anti-virus and malware efficacy, thereby affording greater security assurance.
“Now Jo has joined the team we are able to pass on best practice to our clients whilst we remain at the forefront of this vital area as a business.”
Elsewhere, specialist business development and coaching consultancy ActionCoach has recruited a new relationship manager.
Dev Popat
Dev Popat joins founders Louise Jones and Andrew McGunnigle at the Leicester and Nottingham-based firm.
As well as working towards becoming a full-time member of the coaching team, Popat has been tasked with developing closer links with local businesses and charitable organisations.
He was previously business relationship manager at East Midlands Chamber and has held roles with Europcar, Centrica and Workforce Recruitment.
Popat said: “It’s fantastic to be working with Louise and Andrew and being able to make such a positive difference to the clients we work with.
“My main role will be getting around the local business community and building relationships with organisations where we can have an impact.”
