Lcfc.com has published a series of new images which reveal the swift pace of progress at Leicester City’s new £80 million training facility.

The outline of the new facility on the site of the former Park Hill Golf and Fishing Centre in Charnwood is now clearly visible after principal contractor McLaren Construction began the process of installing 1,640 tonnes of steel frameworks.

The state-of-the-art facility will include 11 full-size training pitches, an on-site “show pitch” complete with 499-seater stand, thirty bedrooms, a hydrotherapy pool and rehabilitation facilities.

A machine storage unit for specialist turf equipment is also being constructed.

The project is scheduled for completion in June 2020.
