East Midlands Business Masters: ‘Our award win helped raise our profile’

2019 East Midlands Business Masters winners

East Midlands civil and structural engineering firm BSP Consulting took home the Professional Services Award at the 2019 Business Masters and is encouraging other companies to enter next year’s ceremony.

BSP, based in Oxford Street, Nottingham, and with offices in Derby and Leicester, fought off stiff competition from companies including UHY Hacker Young, Hallam Internet, Banner Jones, and 2XL Commercial Finance to win the popular category.

BSP offers civil, structural, traffic, transportation, geotechnical and environmental engineering services across the construction industry.

“Winning awards and recognition for the work that you do is always a bonus for any company but being presented with the East Midlands Business Masters Award in 2019 was an extra special occasion for BSP Consulting, as we won the Professional Services Award – something that related to our entire business and the whole team,” said business development director Jef Todd.

“We pride ourselves on the high standard of professional services that we offer our clients across the East Midlands and beyond, and the award proved that we are achieving our aims and providing exceptional service to the construction, property and development sector. In 2019 BSP Consulting celebrated its 20th anniversary. To win an accolade that highlights and rewards the high standards to which we operate was the icing on the cake for the company as we celebrated this milestone.

“It’s been beneficial for us to promote ourselves as not only award-winning, but as having achieved an award for our professional standards. It sets us in good stead when we approach potential new clients and is a positive statement to be able to make on any bid or tender documents. It’s definitely helped to raise our profile as one of the largest independent civil and structural engineers in the East Midlands.

“We’ve won several awards over the years – mainly for schemes that we have been involved in, which has been great – but the Professional Services Award focused on how we operate, our relationships with our clients, and the reputation that BSP Consulting has as a company. It was excellent to receive external acknowledgement that we are reaching our target.”
