Mapperley pub site to be turned into flats

Hockley Developments is set to turn the former site of the Porechester Arms pub on Woodborough Road in Nottingham into a residential scheme.

Planning has been approved to convert the existing building into 11 apartments and five detached new build houses on the site.

Sales manager Jo Callaway said: “This was a site we have been keen on for a while and our Architectural team have come up with an excellent development layout that we believe will be incredibly popular. There are so few new build houses in the area that we expect reservations before completion.

“We shall have Help to Buy available and will officially launch this in the New Year. Completion shall be in Autumn 2020.”

Architectural manager Ewan Cassell said: “We worked closely with Nottingham council planning department to design a development that we believe complements the local area and adds excellent value to a strong residential area. We look forward to starting on site over the next month.”
