Property agency slips back into administration

Residential, rural and commercial property agency Humberts has fallen into administration for the second time in two years.

The 176 year-old firm, which has offices in Nottingham, Lincoln and Stamford, was bought out of administration by holiday letting agency Natural Retreats in May last year, saving a number of jobs across the East Midlands.

However, a statement recently published on its website says that Paul Stanley and Paul Barber of insolvency advisors Begbies Traynor were appointed as administrators on 10 December.

It is as yet unclear what has caused the Wilmslow-based firm’s decline.
