Cosy Club to create 50 jobs as it names Nottingham opening date

A bar and restaurant brand has named the opening date of its new Nottingham venue – set to be one of its largest outlets.

We exclusively revealed in February that Cosy Club was set to open the 21,000 sq ft city centre bar and restaurant in the city – now, it has confirmed the opening date as Wednesday 29th January in Nottingham.

The new Cosy Club will be in a venue that was previously known as casino and fine dining restaurant, the Victoria Club. The grade II listed building is being renovated to become a Cosy Club on Victoria Street and will include three floors with stained-glass windows and a gin bar.

The building was built in the late 19th Century for the Imperial Life and Fire Insurance Company. It was altered to the Reform Club in 1913 and was most recently occupied as The Victoria Club.

Amber Wood, managing director for The Cosy Club brand, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be opening our biggest Cosy Club so far, and we’re looking forward to bringing some delicious food and quirky style to Nottingham. It’s a great city and we are confident the locals will love it.

“At Cosy Club, we serve up a sense of being somewhere special with a hint of nostalgia. From a lazy breakfast to family lunch or a night out in your glad rags, we’re set apart by the character of our team, elegance of our design and quality of our food and drink. We are excited for guests to experience the function rooms, which really are perfect for any occasion – even weddings catering for everyone. We can’t wait for everyone to see it.”
