Nottinghamshire Relate unaffected by collapse of national organisation

The Nottinghamshire’s branch of Relate – the organisation which offers support and advice to indivduals, couples and families – says that it business as usual – despite the national arm of the business collapsing into administration.

As an independent branch within the Relate Federation, Nottinghamshire Relate operates autonomously, with its own funding and management, meaning that the troubles experienced by the national organisation have had no impact on it.

A statement from the Nottinghamshire branch of Relate said: “We understand the importance of consistency in relationship counselling, family mediation, and therapy, especially during challenging times. Nottinghamshire Relate remains dedicated to serving the needs of our community without interruption. All scheduled sessions will continue as planned, and we are welcoming new clients.”

Nottinghamshire Relate added that it is “financially stable” and “fully committed to delivering the professional, compassionate care that has been our hallmark for decades”.

Penny Strutton, chair of the board of trustees of Nottinghamshire Relate, added: “We are deeply saddened to hear about the difficulties faced by the national Relate organisation and empathise with those affected. At Nottinghamshire Relate, we remain steadfast in our mission to support relationships and families in our community, ensuring that no client experiences disruption during this time.”
