Rams miss December wage payment

Derby County FC failed to pay its playing squad their December wages on time, according to a report in the Daily Mail.

Ongoing discussions over fresh investment in the Club are thought to have delayed the players’ latest payment, which was due on 31 December.

The article says a new investment deal has been “in the pipeline for some months” but has “yet to be signed off.”

A Club source quoted by the Mail insisted the wages would be paid on 2 December.

TheBusinessDesk.com has approached the Club for comment.

The Rams currently sit 17th in the Sky Bet Championship following a 2-1 home victory against Barnsley.
