Plans revealed for major Nottingham residential scheme

How the new houses would look

Plans have been revealed for a major housing scheme on the site of a former school in Nottingham.

Nottingham City Homes wants to build 106 homes on the site of the former Eastglade school at Top Valley in the city.

The site had been vacant for some years, but Pelham Architects has now been instructed to design a range of houses, from one-bedroom flats to three-bed houses.

A statement from the architect said: “The need for new homes within England is well-established, and growing existing settlements such as this, that have good transport links and other infrastructure helps to support services whilst enabling new residents to live and work in a sustainable way.

“Delivering sites such as this one in a timely fashion paired with high quality design are key to meeting the needs set out in planning policy.”

Nottingham City Council’s planning committee will decide on the scheme in the coming weeks.
