On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

PR and digital agency Cartwright Communications has appointed two ex-journalists to bolster its growing team.

Danielle Hall and Hannah Mitchell have both joined the Nottingham and Lincoln-based agency as account executives.

Hall joins Cartwright from Notts TV, where she developed her journalism, video production and presenting skills for five years.

Mitchell makes the move from the Nottingham Post, where she worked as a journalist for three years.

Liz Cartwright, managing director at Cartwright Communications, said: “We are really excited to welcome Danielle and Hannah to Cartwright. Both of these talented ex-journalists have a real understanding of what makes a strong story and the components that make content truly compelling for media outlets and their readers.

“We are continuing to grow our client portfolio with big names including Addo Food Group and Tarmac. So, we really are already starting this year with a great range of clients and a very talented team of PR professionals.”

Elsewhere, Ashby-based engineering risk management firm Finch Consulting has appointed a new senior consultant.

Michael Campbell

Michael Campbell began his career in 2006 as a multi-skilled engineering apprentice at Jaguar Land Rover. Over the last 14 years he has progressed into senior control engineer and safety compliance roles in the UK and India.

At Finch Consulting, Campbell will work with clients in the manufacturing, engineering, leisure and entertainment sectors.

He said: “When I was researching my next career move, the word ‘community’ was continually used in relation to Finch. Having met the team and realised how passionate they all are about delivering engineering excellence, I was immediately excited about the prospect of joining a team of experts that are always eager to pool their wide ranging talent and expertise in order to provide a quality service to customers.”
