Indoor golf centre set to open in former Nottingham tourist attraction

The owners of a Leicester bowling alley are set to turn the former Tales of Robin Hood building in Nottingham into an indoor golfing centre.

TheBusinessDesk.com understands that plans for a gym at the building on Maid Marian Way have now been shelved and that the owner of East Street Lanes has been given the go-ahead to transform the long-derelict unit into one of the increasingly popular golfing attractions.

The 16,800 sq ft unit was last used as the Robin Hood tourist venue in 2009 and has been vacant ever since. In 2018, Tesco, which owned the building, had plans passed to turn the building into a gym run by Sweat! Gyms. However, this deal appears to have fallen through.

The new, as-yet-unnamed, indoor golfing centre will be open from midday until midnight from Sunday to Thursday and midday to 1am on Friday and Saturday.
