Commercial property agency turns to virtual reality to reinvent viewings

A Nottingham property agency has turned to virtual reality software in order to adapt to the conditions affecting the industry.

With social distancing seemingly here to stay for the foreseeable future, NG Chartered Surveyors has reacted to offer the market the chance to view its properties from the comfort of their own home by utilising state-of-the-art software.

Ellis Cullen, NG’s rising star in its Agency team has been at the heart of the project. She said: “We currently face unprecedented times and businesses have limited activity. But that hasn’t stopped us here at NG thinking ahead and recognising that the surveying industry will alter due to Covid-19.

“The increasing capacity of virtual meetings, whether that be on Microsoft Teams or Zoom, has driven the evolution of the ‘virtual world’. NG is no different, and our virtual software allows prospective tenants or buyers to view our properties safely and remotely.”

NG’s new service allows 24/7 access for those looking for suitable premises for their business. The firm says it also provides a more realistic perspective of a property and allows the viewer to direct themselves around when floorplans aren’t available.

Cullen added: “Our industry can no longer look to do things in the old way, we have to be innovative and do things in a different, more 21st century way. This is such an exciting time to reinvent the old ways of doing things. With our new virtual tour software, we’re able to build on our already excellent service levels to give our clients the best Agency service we can.

“As Stephen Hawking once said: ‘Intelligence is the ability to adapt to change’.”
