Housebuilders to bring 310-home scheme to Leicestershire

Building work has started at a housing development which will bring 310 new homes to Leicestershire.

The joint scheme, by Bellway East Midlands and Ashberry Homes South Midlands, will feature a mix of two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom homes on land off Gartree Road, Oadby, including 93 properties which will be provided as affordable housing.

Bellway is set to deliver 221 homes on its part of the development – Stoughton Park – while Ashberry Homes’ Horwood Gardens will see a further 89 homes built.

The development will include public open space and woodland, as well as a reconfigured and improved 91-space car park serving the Cow and Plough pub and the historic farm buildings of Stoughton Grange, which have been converted into commercial units.

With construction work now underway, the housebuilders say they are hoping to release the first homes for sale at the start of next year.
