Consultancy firm wins contract on new 60-bed Peak District Hotel

MAC Construction Consultants has been appointed to oversee the development of a 60-bed boutique hotel and restaurant facility on the former Rising Sun Hotel site on Hope Road in the Peak District.

The development will see the demolition of the derelict buildings on site, and the construction of a new three-block property providing guest accommodation, entertainment, and car parking space.

Gigi Developments has appointed MAC Construction Consultants to work on the project, with construction work expected to start in Q2 of 2021.

David Beckett, director at MAC Construction Consultants, said: “This is an exciting scheme that will see a formerly disused and derelict site come back to life for residents and tourists in the area to enjoy.

“We will be working closely with the wider team to ensure all expectations are met throughout the delivery of this project.”
