Lincolnshire Action Trust (LAT) has strengthened its Board of Management with the appointment of three new trustees.

Nicoya Palastanga, David Libiszewski and Daniel Callaghan all bring a wealth of experience and have each been appointed to take the lead on different services that the charity provides.

Lincolnshire Action Trust offers a variety of support services to help people in the criminal justice system and their families, including everything from health and well-being services to accommodation and employment advice.

Jo Mead, chair of LAT, said: “We’ve brought the new trustees on board to enhance our governance which will allow us to continue to build on the work we carry out to support individuals in the criminal justice system.”

Alison Goddard, chief Executive of LAT, said: “All three of our new trustees will add a fresh perspective and understanding to the board with their varied backgrounds and broad range of skills and experience.

“This year has been challenging, as it has for many charities, but each new trustee is helping us to prepare for the year ahead, and we’re pleased to be ending 2020 on a slightly more positive note.”

Medilink Midlands has announced that its newly-forged board of directors has appointed Dr Darren Clark as chief executive officer.

Clark previously held the position of chief executive officer at Medilink East Midlands.

He joined Medilink East Midlands in 2004 and has over 20 years’ experience in the life science sector, the majority gained in industry, at Pharmaceutical Profiles (now Quotient Sciences), with the remainder in academic research at the University of Warwick.

Clark said: “I am honoured and excited to have been selected to lead Medilink Midlands.

“What businesses need more than anything at the moment is reliability and assurance. As newly appointed CEO, I have a deep commitment to strengthen our support to the Midlands life science community.

“Looking forward, we will need to accelerate our strategic approach to ensure we serve all our Patrons, Members and the Midlands life science community as a whole, to the best of our ability in these ever-changing times. Great work has been done, but we must continue to drive the Midlands forward.

“I am very confident we can do this because of the amazing team of people that work at Medilink Midlands, and collectively we have the desire, capabilities and knowledge to secure more new and exciting initiatives for the benefit of our members.”
