Helen Day

Pall-Ex Group has added to its commercial team by welcoming a new business development manager to its ranks.

Helen Day will primarily be focussing on the Fortec Distribution Network in her new role, and brings with her a wealth of industry knowledge, having begun her journey in the logistics sector in 1993.

She said: “I have been a part of the industry for a while now and I really enjoy the fast-paced environment and the constant challenges every day brings. Finding solutions for my customers is what makes me love this job!

“In what has been an exciting seven months for the network, I am looking forward to playing my part in increasing the pallet volumes for the business and therefore helping the network grow as its journey continues.”

Michelle Richards

Derby-based Oberoi Consulting, the supplier of IT clinical support services to the NHS and pharmaceutical industry, has expanded its team.

Michele Richards has joined Oberoi Consulting as a service implementation manager – drawing on her 12 years’ experience as a GP surgery practice manager in Wales and previously a data control and IT manager.

Kavita Oberoi, who set up the company in 2001, said: ““Michele’s insight and experience in both IT and primary care will be invaluable in further developing our services for the NHS and particularly across the devolved nations where there are differences in service deployment and development. This will ensure our developing services and solutions continue to align with NHS needs.”

Accountancy and business advisory firm BDO has welcomed 27 new trainees with more than 30 roles available to start later in 2021.

BDO’s team across its Birmingham and Nottingham offices welcomed its 2020 cohort in November compromising both graduates and apprentices.

The new joiners took part in virtual inductions while BDO’s workforce continues to work remotely as a result of COVID-19.
