Building supplies firm to create 15 jobs in Newark

MKM Building Supplies is set to open a new branch in Newark creating 15 jobs in the area, and bringing the total number of MKM branches to 83.

The new branch will be on a 1.7-acre site based at Stephenson Way on the Brunel Drive Industrial Estate

MKM Newark is headed-up by branch director, Bill Burroughs. Originally from Southwell, Burroughs has lived in Newark for over 30 years.

He said: “Newark is a thriving market town and there is an incredible amount of building projects in the area – from new build estates, repairs, maintenance and extensions. We are keen to support the local trade with their projects.

I have recruited a fantastic team of 15 people with a combined knowledge of over 200 years in the industry. My ambition is to establish the best merchant in the area, promote the MKM brand name and grow a fantastic new branch with a great team serving a growing amount of customers to enable us to be successful and profitable.
