Wizard deal as Eddie Stobart moves onto Merlin Park

Haulage giant Eddie Stobart has taken almost 135,000 sq ft of warehousing space in Foston, Derbyshire, in a deal brokered by Burton-based Rushton Hickman.

The company has expanded into five units at Merlin Park.

Rushton Hickman director, Mark Richardson, said: “The development was previously occupied for a number of years by a haulier and completely lends itself to Eddie Stobart’s use as a warehouse and distribution site for them. We are seeing increasing demand in the area for large distribution bases, driven by our central geographic location and great road links, in this case with the site being easily accessible from the main A50 trunk road.”

“We commenced marketing of the development late December. By February a deal to lease the site had been agreed with Eddie Stobart with completion in April. All in all the timescale has been quick and it’s a fantastic result for our client.”
