Plans in for more student flats next to Bendigo Building

How the scheme would look

Developer Godwin has revealed plans for more student accommodation in Nottingham city centre, in the same week as its huge Bendigo Building plans were given the go-ahead.

The bullish firm has bought land on Cowan Street, across the road from the Bendigo Building, from Regional Land Holdings and plans to turn the site into a seven-storey student scheme that will house 91 students.

A flexible planning application (which outlined either a residential or student scheme) for the land, which lies between Sneinton and the Lace Market, were given planning approval back in February of 2019. Now, Godwin has submitted fresh plans specifically aimed at the student market, which outlines changed to layout, appearance and landscaping.

Architect on the scheme is Whittam Cox.
