People: PolkeyCollins; Marrons Planning

Lincolnshire-based architects and urban designer, PolkeyCollins, has hired two new members to its architectural team.
Jason Hall and Connor Horgan have joined the practice as senior architect and architectural technologist respectively.
Hall joins the senior team and brings with him over 23 years of experience including six years working in Asia. In his new role, he will be working alongside directors Daniel Collins and Clive Polkey and the studio team.
Horgan will be assisting the architectural team. He joins after graduating with a degree in Architecture from Nottingham Trent University this year.
Director of PolkeyCollins, Daniel Collins, said: “Two years ago my co-director Clive and I wrote a strategic five-year growth plan. The practice had been performing well and we wanted to harness that whilst being ambitious with our plans for growth over the next few years. We have ambitious plans for the practice, and we are proud to be ahead of our targets enabling us to recruit talented individuals, such as Jason and Connor.”

Planning consultancy Marrons Planning has announced two new appointments and four internal promotions.
Karen Brightman joins the consultancy’s Leicester office from Charnwood Borough Council, taking the role of associate director, bringing significant experience working on strategic projects. George Smith joins the Stratford office, as senior planner, after six years working with Cherwell District Council.
Based in the Nottingham office, Jenny Keen and David Pendle have been promoted from associate director to planning directors.
Keen is a chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) with more than 12 years’ experience across a range of sectors including the residential, commercial and retail planning fields and working for a number of developers and national housebuilders in promoting sites through the development plan, co-ordinating major planning applications and managing planning appeals.
Pendle has a wealth of local government experience works with landowners, developer and consultancies, specialising in land promotion and strategic developments.
Meanwhile, principal planners Daniel Robinson-Wells and Sachin Parmar have been promoted to associate directors in the Stratford and Leicester offices, respectively.
