Drainage firm expands into Derby after snapping up new premises

The company's new Derby base

A fast-expanding national utility, drainage and survey company has moved into Unit 2, Nelsons Court, Pontefract Street in Derby as part of its regional expansion plans.

The letting to Subscan UDS follows a short marketing campaign by Salloway Property Consultants.

William Speed of Salloway Property Consultants, who negotiated the deal on behalf of Ultra Investments, said: “It was a little under four weeks from commencement of our initial marketing and viewing with Subscan through to completion the lease – demonstrating strong tenant demand for good quality industrial space. The speed of this letting is also testament to our client’s solicitor, Lisa Poole of Actons Solicitors who ensured the transaction was carried out swiftly and in a thoroughly seamless and professional manner.”

Jon Leonard, director at Ultra Investments, added: “Having just had long term tenants vacate from the unit, the speed of this deal has meant that very little was lost in terms of rental voids. I am very grateful to Lisa and Will for the efficiency and professionalism shown in this transaction.”

Kirk Mason, of Subscan UDS, said: “We are delighted to have Unit 2 Nelsons Court as the location of our new depot. It is ideally situated to support our regional expansion plans and the speed with which the deal was completed means we can begin operations much sooner than anticipated. I would like to extend my thanks to all involved, including our solicitor, John Howe of John Howe & Co Solicitors for ensuring a seamless transaction from start to finish.”
