Triple deal sees three new retail tenants in at Victoria Centre

FHP Property Consultants have completed a triple deal to bring new tenants into the Victoria Centre shopping mall in Nottingham.

International brand Miniso has taken a unit of 2,100 sq ft on the upper mall opposite Tiger. Established in 2013 in China, Miniso now trades from 79 countries. The company opened their first store in the UK in November 2019 and the Nottingham venue will be its seventh in the UK.

Bestsellers is an established wholesaler of books, jigsaws and gifts based in Sheffield and have a growing retail estate. It has taken a 2,800 sq ft store on the upper mall opposite House of Fraser.

Alan Pearson, director of FHP, said: “We’re delighted to have attracted Miniso to Victoria Centre for their 7th store in the UK, a deal that was concluded exactly five weeks from viewing to exchange.

“We have seen growing demand from retailers throughout the year for prime retail locations and the latest three lettings, brings the total of new brands to open at Victoria Centre this year to 14, which clearly demonstrates growing market confidence following lifiting of lockdown three earlier this year.”

Jeweller Austen & Blake, established in 2012, has taken a 500 sq ft store at the Clumber Street entrance into the centre opposite the recent letting to Laser Clinics, its sixth UK store.
