Plans revealed for 400-bed student scheme near shopping mall

How the scheme could look

Plans for another major student accommodation scheme in Nottingham are being prepared, TheBusinessDesk.com understands.

PMI Developments is currently consulting the public on a new scheme on land between Glasshouse Street, Rick Street, Howard Street and Huntingdon Street in the city centre.

The land is to the east of the Victoria Centre and comprises brownfield land currently occupied by a car repairs garage.

PMI’s scheme would be 16 floors at its highest point and include 401 rooms. It will be operated by an unnamed student accommodation management company.

A statement from the developer said: “PMI will be monitoring the responses received in relation to this consultation exercise and when the application is ultimately lodged.”

The consultation ends of February 22.
