NG celebrates as Charlotte reaches career milestone

Charlotte Steggles

Commercial property agency NG Chartered Surveyors is celebrating after graduate surveyor Charlotte Steggles received her Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) from industry body RICS.

The APC ensures that candidates are competent and meet the high standards of professionalism required to become a chartered surveyor.

Steggles has been with NG since July 2018 when she joined as a placement student. She graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2020.

She said: “I couldn’t be happier to receive my APC. Over the last four years I have been able to fully focus on achieving this standard as I’ve had the full backing of the NG team, who have supported and mentored me throughout. I can’t thank them enough, they have all helped mentor me and I have had their full support and backing throughout the process. They have given up their own time and I am so grateful for everything they’ve done and it just goes to show the importance of a support network in the workplace.

“I’d also like to thank those outside of the NG family who have helped me, including Jenny Clarke at Tungsten Developments, Sean Bremner at CPP, Tim Garratt at Blackstar Advisory, Sian Cawthorne at FHP, Meg Roe from Eddisons, Amy Simes from Savills, Paul Hinchliffe of Nelsons and Ben Tebbutt of Box Property who introduced me to profession. Alongside the professionals I would also like to thank my friends and family for all of their support, they have been my rocks throughout this process and supported me the whole way.”

Richard Sutton, managing director of NG, added: “No-one deserves this more than Charlotte; it was never in doubt – but this is only the start of her journey.

“Although Charlotte lives with dyslexia, she never mentions it or uses it as an excuse and this speaks volumes about her character. We could not be more proud of our superstar.”
