People: Reach Commercial Finance; CMP Legal
Business development specialist Kelly West has joined Reach Commercial Finance to help support its East Midlands operations.
A division of Leonard Curtis, Reach offers a variety of commercial finance services to accountants, SMEs and lenders.
West will be based at the firm’s Barlborough office, where she will look to build upon its £230m-plus client book.
She said: “I look forward to working closely with advisors and business owners to effectively support their funding needs as part of a hugely respected professional services organisation with ambitions to grow.”
Richard Pinder, director at Leonard Curtis, added: “Kelly is a great addition to our team in the East Midlands. She is a good communicator as well as having excellent experience and will help us develop our Reach Commercial Finance offering. She joins at a crucial time as we look to support businesses facing continued financial and operational upheaval.”
Chesterfield-based law firm CMP Legal has announced a pair of key appointments.
Ryan Fitzpatrick and Chris Hutchinson specialise in construction dispute advice and healthcare transactions.
Ryan Fitzpatrick
Fitzpatrick, who joins the firm as director, previously worked for Bell and Buxton and Ironmonger Curtis.
He said: “CMP Legal has developed an excellent reputation for delivering high quality legal services in a very short period of time and I’m excited to now be part of this.
“I am very much looking forward to working with the team to continue the progress and expand CMP Legal both regionally and nationally.”
Hutchinson, a consultant solicitor, originally trained as a site engineer and has held quantity surveyor roles with a number of major construction companies.
He said: “My hands-on experience in construction has given me an inbuilt understanding of the practicalities of a dispute which not many other lawyers have. This not only saves time but gives clients confidence that they have someone on their side who fully understands the issues and knows what they are talking about on every level – from regulations to construction methods. I get immense satisfaction from being able to take a client from a poor position to getting a positive result for them.”
