Agency round-up: Purpose Media; Tank PR
Derbyshire-based full service marketing agency, Purpose Media has been appointed by Royal Crown Derby to help the company expand globally and develop its digital marketing and online presence.
The company, which has been manufacturing in Derby since 1750, has grown to become an international brand, exporting fine bone china tableware and home accessories to over 50 countries worldwide.
Melissa Oakes, Royal Crown Derby marketing manager, said: “Our main objective for appointing Purpose Media was to partner with an agency who we could trust to build upon our long term objectives. The team took the time to understand our vision and showed a real willingness to support us across all omni channel marketing requirements. We also looked to partner with a local business and by appointing an agency that is on our doorstep it means they can easily visit our factory and get fully immersed in helping us achieve our vision.”
The new appointment will kick start with a project to launch a new website and initiate a digital marketing campaign using tools such as search engine optimisation, email marketing, and social media to attract trade and retail sales globally.
Matt Bonser, account director from Purpose Media, added: “Royal Crown Derby already has a strong brand identity with a rich heritage. Our aim is to ensure their proposition is fully understood by all its global audiences so that the company can expand geographically and increase its sales on a worldwide basis.”
Nottingham-based digital PR agency Tank has been appointed by ecommerce platform provider Remarkable Commerce to lead its first major brand awareness campaign.
The company, based in Nottingham, provides ecommerce solutions for mid-sized retailers.
Remarkable already works with Moss Bros, Yours Clothing and Ben Sherman, as well as a number of leading sports, leisure and jewellery brands.
Tank has been appointed on a retained basis to deliver campaigns in the UK.
Brad Houldsworth, head of product at Remarkable, said: “With retailers facing a number of challenges, the requirement for a cutting-edge ecommerce platform, plus the support of expert technicians and developers, has never been greater.
“Our bespoke ecommerce platform has been continuously developed and improved over the past 20 years, making our platform one of the most customisable on the market.
“For a long time we have been delivering industry-leading work and results for clients on a national and international-basis without shouting about it enough and now is the time to do so.
“We were impressed by Tank’s experience across a wide range of sectors and very much look forward to working with them as we continue our expansion over the coming months.”
James Watkins, head of digital PR at Tank, added: “A growing number of retailers are investing in their ecommerce capability. Remarkable’s experience, approach to customisation and ongoing account management puts them in a strong position to grow their client base over the next few years.
“We’re excited to see how digital PR can help to accelerate the business’s growth over the coming months and we’re looking forward to working with the team.”
The appointment is one of a series of new clients wins for Tank’s digital PR team, which has enabled further growth of its team.
Giorgia Francis has stepped up to the role of digital PR specialist and Rebecca Peel has been promoted to digital PR account director.
