Serviced apartments operator to launch new Nottingham venue

A new £2m development to provide serviced apartments for corporate and leisure guests in Nottingham is set to launch.

The Stay Company has taken the lease on Whitefriars House, on Friar Lane, after the completion of a major refurbishment, transforming three levels of the four-storey building into 17 open plan studios, and one- and two-bedroomed apartments.

The Stay Company, which has its headquarters together with further accommodation in Friar Gate, Derby, says the vision for Whitefriars House is to create a true “home from home” experience for guests.

Work by PKL Investments will be completed in October and the entire tenancy has now been taken over by The Stay Company.

This latest acquisition takes the total number of The Stay Company serviced apartments to almost 100 across the East Midlands.

Dan Wilkinson, director of The Stay Company, says he is proud of the new development and everything that has been achieved at the Nottingham site.

He said: “The developers, designers and structural engineers have elegantly extended the rooftop of Whitefriars House, to deliver 17 spacious and luxurious apartments of the highest quality. Thus, Whitefriars House is fulfilling its brilliant potential both for our clients, and as a viable added investment to The Stay Company’s growing portfolio. Indeed, a planning application for our next development in Eastwood, Nottinghamshire, is already at an advanced stage.

“This development has been hugely rewarding and it has been fantastic to watch it take shape. Its central location will be a real bonus for guests. Whether it is for business or pleasure, Whitefriars House will deliver a little bit of luxury in the city centre.”
