Gareth Woods

KPMG has appointed a new partner and promoted a further 24 members of staff at its East Midlands office.

Gareth Woods makes the step up after 14 years with the Big Four accountancy firm, which he joined as a graduate in 2008.

He will lead KPMG’s East Midlands audit practice.

Meanwhile, audit specialists Chloe Dexter and Matt Ackroyd and tax expert Mark Goddard have been promoted to director.

Sue Harrington (consulting), Kaya Scott-Skingsley (transaction services) and Sarah Perrin-Lock (audit) have become senior managers, while Tim Wakefield, Luke Ryrie, Zak Burton and Stephanie Loose (all audit) have been promoted to manager.

The firm has also appointed 14 new assistant managers and welcomed 14 graduates and apprentices to its East Midlands office, which is now 200-strong.

Marc Abrams, East Midlands office senior partner at KPMG, said: “These promotions recognise the talent of our people and highlight our commitment to grow our business by providing experienced professionals who can work closely with clients to navigate the changing economic landscape.

“It is particularly exciting to see a further partner promotion in Nottingham, especially for someone who has worked in our office throughout their career.”
