Land sale paves way for new resi scheme in Leicestershire village

A proposed residential development in the Leicestershire village of Woodhouse Eaves has taken a step forward after a parcel of land was sold to a Derby-based developer.

JK Land Limited has acquired the four-acre plot off Maplewell Road from a private landowner in a deal orchestrated by property consultants at Fisher German.

The company has planning permission to build 36 homes on the site, which it secured despite having previous applications for a larger development rejected.

Social housing will make up 40% of the properties.

The firm will make financial contributions towards allotments, education, civic amenities, libraries and health care as part of the proposals.

As such, it is a project that enabled us to demonstrate our varied expertise in strategic land promotion, ranging from sourcing developer partners and negotiating terms, to advising on planning promotion and negotiating prices for option agreements.
